David CahnAbout The Founder

David L. Cahn, a Baltimore native, established the firm in 2004 to address the needs of the increasing number of business people interested in franchising.

Prior to starting the firm, David was an associate with the national franchise law practice group at Piper Rudnick, LLP in Washington, DC. He also honed his litigation and counseling skills at the Baltimore law firm, Gordon, Feinblatt, Rothman, Hoffberger & Hollander.

David earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995 and his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in 1990. He is a graduate of the Maryland Trial Advocacy Institute.

Baltimore Area's only Legal Eagle '06, '07 and '08His professional involvement includes serving on the Board for the Maryland State Bar Association’s Business Law section. He is Chair of the Association’s Franchise Law Committee. In addition, he has written many articles for area papers and has given seminars for attorneys and entrepreneurs, including, “Understanding and Negotiating A Franchise Agreement,” which he has co-taught for the Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia bar associations.

David is admitted to the Maryland and District of Columbia Bar.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and twin daughters. He also enjoys playing tennis and basketball.
